BIOGRAPHY

Born in the beautiful archipelago of the Bahamas, Basil Lewis has always had a passion for storytelling. From a young age, he has written and told stories as far his imagination can carry. The stories of his father, uncle and aunts and how they overcame so much with so little contribute to the spark of his unique writing style. He has always been fascinated by the power of film and video , but  never pursed it until later in life.

As Basil continued in his system engineering career he always longed to create content.  When he met his wife who was studying film at The University of Miami, it was not long after that he began dabbling with cameras and NLE systems.

 

Basil has worked with various in the industry leaders, which has developed his craft of film making. His ability to rapidly come up with ideas and tell compelling stories has always been evident, and has gained notable recognition.

With over 15 years experience, Basil has continued to grow and evolve as a filmmaker. He has worked on a variety of projects, from documentaries to short films, and has received critical acclaim for his work.

Known for innovative and unique approaches, Basil launched his YouTube channel Lighthouse and Architecture which strives to showcase content from around the globe.  He continues  to push boundaries and challenge himself to find new ways to express his vision and connect with audiences.
